According to Wiki, Tsukiji Fish Market is the biggest seafood market in the world. The seafood that is handled here amount to 700000 tonnes a year. That shows how much the Japanese love their seafood, of big and small kinds.
The activities start as early as 5.00am each day.

The market has shops that sell all things related to the industry.

Knives of different shapes and blades
To survive the wet market, you would need a pair of these.
Colourful containers, whatever it is for.
A souvenirs stall for the tourists.

Produce, with some coming from China.
We love green tea.
Catching the morning sunlight.
Maneki-Neko
Craving for sashimi-don?
The whole street is filled with eateries to fulfil the cravings.
Pottery wares...
...of many shapes, designs and patterns.

Local purchasing freshly cut tuna.

Unagi anyone?

Many seafood to satisfy your appetite.
The market is so big it would take sometime to complete.

Tuna waiting to be cut up and packed.
There is only one way to cook these. Curry fish head!
Tsukiji market is a known tourist attraction, with many going there to experience the auction and daily activities, which is unique to the market. However, not many would end up buying anything from there. When it became crowded, I could understand the frustration or impatience that is shown on the seller's face. It is because their daily activities were constantly interrupted or obstructed by careless tourists who venture too close. On this note, we tourists must be considerate.
After strolling awhile. it become obvious it is time to leave when you see less patrons enter the market and more deliveries leave the premises.
And another travel trip awaiting....
