Insadong-gil is a popular street known to locals and tourists for its traditonal but unique buildings and art galleries.
You can find the influence of artwork as soon as you stepped out of the train at Anguk Station.
Painted tiles, individually created by local artists.
The entrance is guarded by two 'Generals'.
A roadside stall selling toy collections

Some of it are a rare find.
Eateries and cafeteria are a common sight.
This restaurants has a lantern on each of its window.
Unique wall tiles.
Traditional house of spices.
What a giant brush!
A visit to insadong is not complete without a visit to Ssamziegil.
Ssamziegil and its open-air concept is a refreshing shopping experience.
Its uniqueness is in its spiral access to the handmade crafts and accessories stalls from floor to floor.
Weather is good for a day out grazing.
Caricature at work.
A finishing art piece soon.
A vendor peddling his goods...
...which are mostly hair clips.
Freshly squeezed lemon juice and soda. Nice!
A band was performing while we were having lunch. Free entertainment.
If you love arts, Insadong is the place to go. Of course, you might pick up some souvenirs like pouches, passport or glasses cover (made of silk) along the way. I like the integration of traditional shops, modern galleries, road stalls and street performances all rolled into one in this popular town.
And another travel trip awaiting....
