H a n o k V i l l a g e

One of the must-see places in Seoul has to be the traditional Hanok houses at Bukchon Village.
Some of these houses have been around for 600 years.
Most withstood the age of time.
Many are for dwelling while a few has been converted to museums, craft shops and tourist centre.
A well-preserved hanok.
Old vs new.
A hanok house undergoing restoration and renovation.
The roof over my head, with a city view.
A fascinating story behind every door.
Entrance of the house where "Personal Preference" was filmed.
Huff & puff, up the slope. I can make it!
Intricate locking roof tiles.
Another view of the city.
High walls and a sturdy door.
A shop-cum-cafe-cum-lodging hanok house.
Beautiful view overlooking Samcheong-dong.
Another pleasing view.
Interestingly designed building found in Bukchon & Samcheong-dong

Windmills found outside a residence.
Flower power
Does this consider a wall art?
Before that lovely cup of coffee is processed into.
Over hill, over dale, till we hit the dusty trail...
The busy and happening street of Samcheong-dong...
...here, there...
...and everywhere.
Probably a restricted zone.
Female high school.

I love Samcheong-dong. This neighbourhood is so quaint but happening at the same time. It has a unique mix of art galleries and modern cafes in traditional houses along the same street. This charming place is a perfect resting area after your visit to Bukchon Hanok Village.

And another travel trip awaiting....
