H o n g d a e

We are back in Seoul this June, for a 6-days holiday. With proper planning, I hoped to see more than the previous trip, and give the local food a try.
After checking-in, we head off to Hongdae for some street shoppings near Hongik University.
Being near the university for women, the neighbourhood shops sell largely fashionable clothings and accessories for ladies.
 Am I cute or what?
The slope leading to the university.
 Artwork for sale.
 Nice portrait.
 Entrance to Hongik University.
The weekly flea market on Saturday.
Most items on sale are handmade or crafted.
 Cat design hair band.
Advertising poster of a cat cafe.
 Fashionably rude.
Creative art is a big thing here.
Cafe and eateries are plentiful here.
 Shop to your heart contend....
 ...with shop after shop.
 A sushi restaurant. Cute mascot.
 Standout notice.
I'll inherit this goldsmith shop one day. Muah ha ha ha...!
 Endless street of shopping joy.
No, you cannot hire the mule.
After all the walking, time for a coffee break.
Out from the sun to the comfort of the cool cafeteria.

Although the streets are filled with shops selling ladies fashion wear and accessories, I was not bored. It is refreshing for me to see the colourful buildings, creative advertisements, and the occasional unique findings. I think I am starting to like Seoul. For a start, I have taken to eating kimchi and the spicy food. Hoot ah!

And another travel trip awaiting....
