I l c h u l L a n d

Without following the original itinerary, I left to Mr Kang, our driver, to bring us around. For a change, I have a stress-free holiday without having to lead and drive. I have no idea what this Ilchul (Sunrise) Land is and when Mr Kang say to return in 2 hours, I wonder why we needed such a long visit. Then I saw it - the posters that were placed throughout the huge park. This is where Running Man filmed their episode 89, and man, was I excited after that. I am a big RM fan, and have always been hopeful to meet them live in the filming. Not today, but at least I get to be where they were shooting.

Man-made waterfall and lake in the beautiful park.
The start of the park tour begins from this bridge, as in RM #89 where the cast was teleport here.
Boa found her first 'Treasure Chest' here.
Ha Ha and Kim Joon Kook searching for their treasures.
Our cast taking a rest while cooling down with ice cream. Omnomnom.
Entering Micheon Cave, where its temperature hovers at 15C while outside is 26C.
Taking my favourite moss wall photos, next to manhole covers.
FIL anticipating the grand entrance of his royal subjects.
Micheon Cave is 1.7km long but only 365m of it is opened to the public.
Dragon mural, where Lee Gwang Soo met his genie Julien Kang.
If the temperature here remains at 15C, it sure beats the scorching summer heat and freezing sub-zero winter cold.

Taking photos in low light condition is a challenge. Glad I have a fast UWA lens

Its a great day for outdoor fun....

....as demonstrated by these youths.
Oemuni trying their skill by firing arrows into the bin.
Weaving machine

And the 'newer' sewing machine.

I have no idea what this is....

....nor this. Sorry.

Villagers keep pigs in their premises to get rid of snakes.

But they are also a delicacy. Poor piggy.

Dog meat is not in the menu, I hope.
The Archer. Is he a character in ancient Korea?
Cactus farm, and they are huge!
Cacti of different sizes and shapes.

Don't they look like sea anemone?
Strike a pose with the laughing Buddha.
Saranghae.
FIL found an interest on the bed of roses.
Big & ultra red roses.

We have a fun time at Ilchul Land, and ignoring Mr Kang's instruction, we took more than 2 hours to tour the place. Hey, what's the rush anyway? We are on a holiday! Watching RM #89 again, I am able to associate the spots where the cast played their challenges. It certainly made the trip meaningful especially when my memory is still fresh. I am looking forward to the places where my favourite Running Man has visited. Daebak!

And another travel trip awaiting....
