G y e o n g b o k g u n g

Although this is my 3rd visits to Seoul, it is my first visit to any of the palace there. I have never thought of visiting one previously as I find it hard to appreciate a history which language I could not understand. But the interests grew after I watched the numerous Korean period dramas.
Moreover, I have run out of new places to go. A visit to the palace is not a bad idea actually.
After a day of rain yesterday, the weather is great today.
 Beautifully constructed architecture.
 Changing of guard procession.
Waiting for the order to march in.
 Start the drum roll.
 Here we go!
 The Generals leading the parade.
 War flags.
 Soldiers and their armour.
The accompanied music to keep them in unison.
 Feathered head gear.
 Recording my presence.
 Brass container.
 Behind the green door.
 Intricate wood craft workmanship.
Wonder why the cctvs are there for. It spoiled the character of the building.
 The other side.
Oh how I love the colours.
 Are we lost?
The wide angle brings out the length of this structure.
 Cousins posing.
 Sisters posing.
 Not forgetting the mother too.
 Sarang-hae.
 We are family.
 Kim Jong Il wannabe?
I am sulking, for whatever reason, I do not know.
 Girl power.
 High-five on the high.
 Thou shall not sin.
If the kids can do it, so can we.
 A rare flying moment.
 Come scratch our armpits, please.
 The frozen lake.
The family portrait.
 A sumptuous dinner.

It would be perfect if my eldest brother in-law could be there. Due to work commitment, he was not able to join us. Nonetheless, I am sure there will be opportunities for all of us to travel together. So looking forward to our next trip.

And another travel trip awaiting....
