S e o u l 2

The weather the next day was cloudy and really not a good time for photos taking. Every picture turned out underexposed and dull. I have to make do with my limited skills to enhance the final photos. Not many keepers in the end, but it could have been worst.
We crossed to south of the Hangang River, which is regarded as the upper class region of Seoul.
Hangang was the source of life for ancient Seoul, and is now the place for leisure and sports activities.
There is no better way to see the river than taking a cruise.
Boarding pier at Yeouido, where most cruises depart.
63 Building, the golden skyscraper overlooking the Han River.
Hangang is a valuable place for younger generation to learn about its history and the ecology that it provides.
School students taking organised trip to the river for a first-hand experience.
The students were obviously having a good time on the cruise.
Our cruise is slightly over an hour and took us to Jamsil dock.
Seoul Olympic Stadium, where the 1988 Summer Olympic was held.
Pink parking lots especially for the lady drivers. So well thought of.
We walked from Jamsil dock to COEX, which has the largest underground shopping in Asia with 260 stores.
Circle within a circle.
A day where Koreans remember the Korean war.
A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together
Samgyetang, a soup boil of chicken and ginseng ingredients.
Happy folks enjoying our meals.

I have never liked Korean food because I do not like kimchi and the sourish taste that come with almost all its dishes. The 'messy' look does not appear to me either, so I was really troubled to have to find food to my taste. To my surprise, there are many non-Korean eateries around, dismissing my unfounded worry. But after trying the Samgyetang, Korean food is actually not that bad.

And another travel trip awaiting....
