C o n w y

The first castle that we visited in Wales is Conwy Castle, one of the many built under King Edward's rein.
The thing about visiting castles is, you either love it or loathe it. And I loved it, though the wife found them eerie and cold.
It does has a setting that come out from a horror movie, and history do tell of fights and death that preceded its existence.
Considering its age, the castle's watch towers are in excellent conditions.
Could this be a drawbridge during its heydays?
Old and new settlements side by side.
A light tone to bring out its sad past. Imagine having arrows or spears rained down on you from above? Frightening.
As in every tourist attractions, there are restaurants to serve the hungry and thirsty traveller.
Tired folks resting after all the walking and climbing.

From Conwy, we moved west to see more castles. After awhile, they looked the same and we could not tell one from the other. We started to miss the food at home after days of fish & chips. To our surprise, we found an Indian restaurants at our next destination, where we eventually had spicy and chilli hot food for consecutive days. Yummy!

And another travel trip awaiting....
