Caernarfon Castle is my favourite of the lot. I liked its sheer size and impressive construction. King Edward himself had regarded it his administrative centre of the north Wales.

The Eagle Tower with its three turrets was considered the grandest tower of Caernarfon Castle.
Much of its inner ward did not survive the besieging fighting force.
Surviving turrets in good condition, though the statues of eagles were long gone.
Settlements have since occupied the land surrounding the castle.
Don't you just love the space within the castle? Imagine playing hide & seek here?

This is another of my favourite. We took a slow crawling heritage train through the mountain range to reach the highest mountain in Wales - The Snowdonia National Park.

It is summer but the impressive scenery was engulfed by low lying clouds.

From the summit train station, we climbed to the peak, where a small monument stood.
The highlight has to be the visit to Snowdonia. In blistering strong wind, we managed
to reach the Snowdon summit at 3560 feet. We could hardly stand
upright as the wind beat us in all directions. And it was cold! But we had alot of sightseeing & fun today. Fabulous!
And another travel awaiting....
