B e a u m a r i s

This is Bangor Pier, and it was at Bangor that we had two days of flavourful curry and spicy hot meals. For a change, we have no high carb food and not regretting it.
Taking a stroll on the 470m long pier. A retro feel satisfy the mood just about right, doesn't it?
Sail boats out in full force
We stopped at the next castle of Beaumaris, situated on the Isle of Anglesey.
Beaumaris Castle is considered King Edward's finest and last castle. When he started building it, his conquest of Wales was practically over and this castle was never completed.
One of the many entrances that lead to the castle.
In architecture term, this castle is different from the rest as the inner ward actually overlooked the outer curtain.
And mind you, the inner ward wall is that high!
Ducklings sunbathing after a dip in the fortress pond.
 A write-up of the castle
Teachers taking their students on an excursion. Educational tour is always fun. You learn history, get to socialise, and allow parents to have a day off from their kids : )
A medieval black & white building converted into a B&B.

We visited several castles in a row today. It is not that we were rushing for time, but it happened because they are nearby each other. The next one is my favourite - Caernarfon Castle.

And another travel trip awaiting....
