One of the places I visited in India is the city of Jaipur, in Rajasthan. And while in Jaipur, I got to visit Amber Fort.
Amber Fort is a fortified residence built on the edge of a rocky hill, where a river used to flow at the base. Now, it is a barren land.

See how high the fort is built?
Once the home of Raja Man Singh, Amber Fort is now the most significant sight in Jaipur, where thousands of tourists visited it each year.
To get to the fort, you can be adventurous to walk up the steep pavement, or you could like us, hitched a ride on the elephant's back.
Do not be fooled by the photo, these guys are huge!
Slowly and surely, we made our way up to the fort by hanging on dearly to the howdah.

It is regrettable that I did not have sufficient battery source for my camera. Just as we happily arrived at the top, the camera went dead. And when you think there would be a gift shop in a tourist site, there was none! I was disappointed, but it was my fault for not preparing beforehand. Well, at least I got some decent shots of Amber Fort earlier.

And another travel trip awaiting....
