We needed a break so we took a few days in March to visit Hong Kong. Weather is still cooling at this time. In fact, it was cold when we got there. Not so much of a planned holiday, so we engaged the usual activities like sightseeing & shopping, and mostly to familiar places.
Mongkok is where I get my gadgets crave fixed, while Sharon hit straight into the clothing stores. It is also where nice dessert stalls are located. My particular favourite is the mango sago pudding.
Wide angle to capture the skyscrapers in Hong Kong island.
One of many churches.
We took the tram to Victoria Peak for an overview of the city at night.
No tripod, so as steady as I could, some admissible shots were taken. Well, it could have been better.
We visited Stanley Market, as the wife wanted to look at paintings. I was more interested in the furry host...
...And the cat fight on the hot tin roof.
I put in a photo of this boxer for you dog loving readers. Fair?
Amid the developed town of touristy attractions, there are interesting dwellings next to the market. Folks still lived in their shanty hut and go about with their simple lives.
Community art work to brighten up the area. Kudos!
I did not take many photos in this trip. Some how, the cloudy weather has dampened my mood altogether. Of those I took, many did not turn up well to worth a showing. Disappointed. Anyway, Hong Kong is only 3 hours away, and I am pretty sure I would return soon.
And another travel trip awaiting....
