M a n h o l e C o v e r s

I started this series (28 Nov 14) of manhole covers that I found in my travel. Why manhole covers you may ask? Well, I was first attracted to it on my trips to Japan. Then I came upon the work of S Morita, and his collection of manhole cover photos. This inspired me to document down my own collections.
It is indeed a true work of art, done by the Japanese Association of Manhole Covers (yes, there is an organisation for this). Do you know that there are over 6000 artistically crafted manhole covers throughout Japan? Wow!
